Dear Colombian ELT Community:

The Colombian Association of Teachers of English -Asocopi- will be on its 60th anniversary in 2025. HOW Journal wants to publish a special issue in the second semester of next year to celebrate it.

The special issue will be about how Colombian English Language Teacher/Teaching (ELT) education has evolved in the last 60 years. The topics may be varied since ELT education in the country has stretched knowledge in multiple themes.

The articles for this special issue must be of 6000-7000 words. They must discuss what progress we, as a community, have made for Colombian ELT education during the decades of Asocopi’s existence. Each article must talk about a (1) topical issue, (2) its evolution or progress, (3) criticism, (4) current state, and (5) pathways in Colombia. Altogether, the articles can contribute to looking at past, present, and future directions in Colombian ELT education.

This is an open call. However, articles must be written in teams of a maximum of four authors.

In this digital form, the team of authors can propose the topical issue, a 250-word brief, and their institutional affiliation (they can be from different institutions). HOW Journal will select eight to ten articles on different topics for this special issue. After notifying the selection, the full article will be expected. HOW Journal’s Editorial Committee, Editor, and Review Editor will read and suggest improvements in the selected articles.

Participation is freeDeadline: May 3rd for Proposals.
